Bernie Mac’s publicist said Sunday the “King of Comedy” remains in a Chicago hospital where he is responding well to treatment. When asked about a report that Mac is in “very, very critical” condition, publicist Danica Smith told the Tribune in an e-mail, “You have some bad info.” Smith said Mac’s condition is the same as Saturday, when she said Mac was recovering. Smith said Mac, 50, is being treated for pneumonia.
