2. Cardinals at Cubs, Friday-Sunday, check listings: The series goes national Saturday (Fox) and Sunday (ESPN).
3. Red Sox at White Sox, Friday-Monday, check listings: “Jason Bay being Jason Bay” just doesn’t sound as good.
4. PGA Championship: Noon Friday, TNT; 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, TNT; 1 p.m. Sat and Sun, WBBM-Ch. 2: Tiger says he won’t watch. His loss.
5. Olympics: 7 p.m. Saturday, WMAQ-Ch. 5: Swimmer Michael Phelps begins his quest to win 114 gold medals in Beijing.
