In 2007, voters elected Charles Rowe to a second 6-year term on the board.Rowe, 61, submitted his resignation Thursday morning via e-mail.
He was arrested at his home about 1 p.m. Wednesday and charged with two felony counts of child pornography. He was released from DuPage County Jail after posting $10,000 bail.
The park board is expected to take steps to put the vacant seat on the April election ballot.
