Tom Cruise was back on the “Today” show Monday for the first time since he and host Matt Lauer infamously sparred over Scientology three years ago.
Cruise, who called Lauer “glib,” admitted that upon reviewing the tape of their last meeting, “I thought I came across as arrogant.”
“It’s one of those things you go, ‘OK, I could have handled that a lot better,’ ” Cruise said. “I didn’t communicate it the way that I wanted to communicate it. And also, that’s not who I am.”
Lauer said despite tabloid reports, there was never any animosity between them.
