Channing Tatum, “Step Up” star, “G.I. Joe” stud … former stripper? Usmagazine.com has unearthed a video from 1999 of Tatum dancing in a Chippendales-style revue called Male Encounter. Tatum, then 18, performed shirtless (no nudity) under the alias “Chan Crawford” during his yearlong stint with the troupe, according to Us. “The women went crazy for him!” troupe owner London Steele told the mag. Tatum’s gig eventually led to an appearance in Ricky Martin’s “She Bangs” music video after a casting agent spotted him in the show. Hey, we all gotta start somewhere.
