Bond has been set at $4 million for a Highland Park man accused of breaking into a Wheeling residence on the 700 block of Prestwick Lane on May 23 and handcuffing, raping and robbing a woman while armed with a knife and gun. Arrested last week, Matthew Schaffer, 32, of the 600 block of Pleasant Avenue, is charged with home invasion and aggravated criminal sexual assault with a firearm, authorities said. Police were led to Schaffer through personal information he left at a Chicago shop where authorities said he pawned a watch stolen from the victim.
