“I go there and do my job, man,” Silva said afterward. “I don’t know what’s going to happen, if (the offense is) going to score some runs or not. I just try to do my job and keep my team in the game, and that’s what I do today”

“We found something we feel will definitely help him,” Piniella said. “It’s off the stretch, not off the windup. Notice that when he has his troubles, or has had his troubles, there’s a guy on base. When he’s going good off the windup, he gets 1-2-3 innings. We feel that Larry hit on something that will help him off the stretch.”
