I’ve been a practicing attorney in the Chicagoland area for 43 years and was deeply saddened upon learning of the passing of Jerry Solovy on Jan. 19. Not only was Mr. Solovy one of the finest and most respected lawyers in this community, he was also a good and truly caring human being. He served as a role model for so many of us that came after him. We learned so much from him, as well as just learning about him.
I’ve never met a better lawyer, a more caring and compassionate person and an individual more respected and loved in his community, as well as his profession. You will be missed, Mr. Solovy. You touched many of our lives in a most positive way.
