The snow removal has been a challenge and successful.
But this problem could be solved fairly easily.
Most bus stops with shelters have been shoveled so a person can get on and off the bus. Not true of other bus stops. The four streets of bus stops that I have been using for the last eight days have not been shoveled. Calls and e-mails to CTA, 311, the city and aldermen so far have not done any good. It would only take a 36-inch path shoveled from the sidewalk over 3 feet of the snow-plowed drift to make a difference.
Standing in the street waiting to board is dangerous because the streets are narrower from accumulated plowed snow.
