*Contrary to a story in Thursday’s Live! section, soccer star David Beckham will not be playing for the L.A. Galaxy against the Chicago Fire in Bridgeview on Sunday. In a game Wednesday night, he received a yellow card, his fifth of the season, and by league rule will serve a one-game suspension.
*An obituary on Feb. 11 for William Meyers III incorrectly stated he was survived by his brother Steven, who in fact preceded him in death. The name of a surviving brother, James was omitted.
