Nick Richter went 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs for Cary-Grove (11-6, 8-4).

Mitch Endriukaitis was 3-for-5 with a home run and 5 RBIs for Geneva (10-3, 8-1). The Vikings had 19 hits and 5 home runs.

Hoffman Estates 6, Barrington 5

Hoffman Estates scored an unearned run in the top of the 7th for the win. Reliever Kevin Grudzinski earned the win on the mound for Hoffman Estates (6-10, 1-3 MSL West).

Kaneland 2, Yorkville 0

Winning pitcher Bobby Thorson threw a 2-hitter, striking out 11 and walking none. He also hit a home run for Kaneland.

Lincoln-Way East 9, Joliet Central 0

Jake Busch struck out 11 in his shutout pitching effort for Lincoln-Way East (12-4, 2-1).

Lisle 3, Westmont 2

Nick Olson was 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs for Lisle. Winning pitcher Ryan Burlison gave up 2 hits, struck out 11 and walked none in a complete game.

Winning pitcher Jack Richmond went all 6 innings, giving up 2 earned runs and striking out 8. Willy Palivos was 2-for-3 with a run and 2 stolen bases and Logan Spurlin was 3-for-3 with 2 home runs and 5 RBIs for Loyola (7-9, 6-1 Catholic Blue).

Dan Fox had a triple, a run and 2 RBIs and Nick Fleischauer scored 2 runs for Minooka.

Plainfield Central 16, Oswego East 2

Brandon Mackowiak was 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and 4 RBIs and Nick Woltkamp was 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and 5 RBIs for Central (5-13, 3-7).

Vance Schmidt hit 2 of Plano’s 6 home runs. Winning pitcher Alex Ramirez (3-2) struck out 9. He also hit a double and a home run for Plano (11-9, 5-3).

South Elgin 4, Waubonsie Valley 3

Kenny Lowden drove in Dillon Gardner for the game-winning run in the bottom of the 7th. Andrew Weedman had a home run and 2 RBIs for South Elgin (11-3-1, 6-3-1).
