Bike to Work Week: This year’s “biking it” programming includes the Bike: Chic fashion show (Daley Plaza), Biking the Boulevard happy hour (at Goose Island Pub), storytelling (Chicago Cultural Center), a Loop Bike Tour and a grand finale rally (Daley Plaza). Family Fun Festival: The Millennium Park summer music season has begun and now it’s time for some family fun. Andersonville Midsommarfest: The weekend festival has got a little bit of gospel, samba and a twist of Swedish music and dance (and free admission to the Swedish American Museum, 5211 N. Clark St.). Under the sea

‘A Life With Whales’: National Geographic photographer and marine biologist Flip Nicklin gives a lecture on humpback and killer whales. Nicklin, a leading photographer of whales, will also share photos and audio tracks he has captured of whales.
