In the deficit standoff, I’m trying to figure out which of the Bush budgets, with their record deficits during a time of prosperity, did Eric Cantor ever vote against?
I want to see us balance the budget, too. I just know that we can’t do it all in one year.
Let’s set a five year plan in which we work our way back to a surplus. And let’s allow the Bush tax cuts to expire as soon as possible. (Even Grover Norquist says that a vote to allow a tax cut to expire isn’t the same as a tax increase, so it must be OK.)
