Despite a nationwide housing slump, one developer thinks there is room for expansion in The Glen — and Glenview officials this week gave the 149-unit project the green light.
“You’ve done a tremendous amount of work and addressed the concerns expressed here the last time,” Village President Kerry Cummings told representatives from Schaumburg-based Pulte Homes.
The board voted 5-0 on Tuesday to approve a development near West Lake Avenue and Shermer Road, where Pulte will build 149 town homes and duplexes.
Trustee Paul Detlefs praised the project.
“I appreciate, in this economic climate, your willingness to risk your capital in this,” he said.
