Croatian midfielder Marko Maric was waived by the Fire late Wednesday after playing in only one game this season.
Maric, 27, was suffered a left ankle injury on April 14 and spent the rest of the season on the injured reserve list.
He joined the Fire in early March in a free transfer transaction from Greek team Skoda Zanthi F.C., where he made four appearances in 2010.
He also played for Croatian club NK Zagreb, Greek team Egaleo FC and French side Lille OSC.
