What a stunner! The Republicans in Congress will not support Obama’s jobs plan. It’s too expensive, they say. It won’t work, they say. But ? if he wants to cut taxes, maybe they can get behind some of that.
You have to wonder if they truly believe they can tax-cut their way out of the mess they helped put us in. You have to wonder if they even believe the economics they espouse, or are simply using it as a way to consolidate power.
After spending three years working towards their stated goal – making Obama a one-term president – would anyone expect them, at this critical time, to change their focus to improving the lot of the American worker?
