CHICAGO STATE SUPERSECTIONAL

No. 1 Simeon 59, Evanston 34

Jabari Parker had 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks, and Kendrick Nunn scored 13 points in the Simeon (31-1) win. Josh Irving scored 10 points and Randy Ollie added 8 points and 6 rebounds for Evanston (21-11).

HINSDALE CENTRAL SUPERSECTIONAL

No. 2 Proviso East 62, West Aurora 51

Keith Carter had 17 points and 6 rebounds, Paris Burns scored 12 points, and Paris Lee added 11 points and 6 steals for PE (31-0). Juwan Starks had 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Jontrel Walker scored 12 points in the WA (25-6) loss.

ILLINOIS STATE SUPERSECTIONAL

No. 6 Bloom 53, Edwardsville 41

Donald Moore had 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, and Johnny Griffin added 13 points in the win for Bloom. Tre Harris and Garrett Covington each scored 16 points for Edwardsville.

NORTHERN ILLINOIS SUPERSECTIONAL

Rockford Auburn 49, No. 3 Warren 43

Fred Van Vleet had 27 points (including 5 three-pointers), 8 rebounds, 5 steals and 5 assists, and LaMark Foote added 9 points and 6 rebounds for Auburn (31-2). Nathan Boothe had 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks, Mitch Munda scored 13 points, and Darius Paul added 10 points and 11 rebounds in the loss for Warren.

HOFFMAN ESTATES SUPERSECTIONAL

No. 13 North Chicago 91, No. 10 Marshall 81

Aaron Simpson scored 32 points, Marzhon Bryant had 25 points and 10 rebounds, and JaVairius Amos-Mays added 12 points for NC (24-6). Korbin McClain had 19 points and 13 rebounds, and Derrick Miles scored 15 points in the loss for Marshall (24-8).

JOLIET CENTRAL SUPERSECTIONAL

No. 14 Hillcrest 47, DuSable 44

Jayon’e Troutman had 17 points and 7 rebounds, and Jovan Mooring added 10 points for Hillcrest (26-5). Jermayne Akons and Chris Galbreath scored 12 points each in the DuSable (16-10) loss.

NORTHERN ILLINOIS SUPERSECTIONAL

Peoria Central 77, Rockford East 59

Trey Kellum had 14 points and 8 rebounds, and Aldonis Foote had 16 points and 4 steals in the Central (26-3) win. Darshawn Pumphrey-King scored 14 points and Javon Henderson added 13 in the Rockford East (20-11) loss.

Matt Doherty threw 3.2 IP with 6 K, and Matt Filkins was 2-for-3, with a triple and 2 RBI for LWC.

Ben Dobosenski pitched 4 scoreless innings and had 8 strikeouts, and he also hit a single and a double for Montini (1-0).

T.J. Laurisch (1-0) had 2 IP and 5 K, Sam Kint was 2-for-3 with 2 RBI, and Brent Novosel was 2-for-2 with a 2-run double for Mount Carmel.

Terrance Robertson threw 5 innings of no-hit ball with 11 strikeouts, Darius Day hit a grand slam, Marshawn Taylor hit a solo HR, and Darien Clifton added a 3-run triple for Simeon.

Becky DeRuiter tossed the complete game win for Chicago Christian (1-0), and Theresa Kraiss went 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs. Jessica Brady was 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs in the win.

Jen Zucker (1-0) had 12 K and 0 BB in the GBS win.

Katie McKay was 2-for-3 and struck out 6, as Amy Diaz added a pinch-hit, 2-run single for Joliet West.

Maria Schroeder went 3-for-3 with a double, 2 runs scored and an RBI for Lake Zurich (1-1). Mallory Parsons added 2 hits, including a double, and 2 RBIs.

Megan Semro went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs for Marengo (1-0). Winning pitcher Lindsay Melson struck out 18.
