CF B.J. Upton is ready to begin a rehab assignment, and should be joining the Tampa Bay Rays in the near future. Upton is on the 15-day disabled list because of lower back pain. Upton is expected to start his rehabilitation at Class A Advanced Charlotte. He could be back with the Rays in 10 days.
