Timberwolves’ Love will miss final two games
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love will miss the final two games of the regular season as a result of a concussion he sustained April 11, the team announced Sunday.
Team officials say Love has passed all the NBA-required tests to return to action, but the team decided on Sunday not to take any chances and will shut Love down for the rest of the season. The team has already been eliminated from postseason contention.
Love missed his straight sixth game Sunday since getting hit in the head by an inadvertent elbow from Denver’s JaVale McGee.
Love is fourth in the league in scoring at 26.0 points and second in rebounding at 13.3.
One if the reasons cited for shutting Love down was that he would not have time to get back in shape after missing more than a week of action.
