OAKLAND, Calif. — Alexei Ramirez will bat second for the second consecutive game, and Brent Morel will bat eighth as the Chicago White Sox open a three-game series Monday night at Oakland.
Ramirez went 1-for-5 with an RBI double Sunday in the Sox’s 7-4 win at Seattle. Morel went 1-for-4 from the eighth spot Sunday but is batting .137 with 22 strikeouts in 51 at-bats.
Paul Konerko, who is nursing a sore foot, is relegated to designated hitter duties for the second consecutive game.
