Panthers sign P Harris
Punter Nick Harris signed with the Panthers and is expected to compete with rookie Brad Nortman.
Harris was released by Jacksonville after the Jaguars drafted Pat Angerer last month.
A 12th-year veteran, Harris averaged 42.7 gross yards in 11 games last season and 37.9 net with 13 punts downed inside the 20-yard line. He has a career gross average of 42.5 yards and net of 35.7.
