Chicago has tens of thousands of students who could use extra help getting an education in Chicago’s underperforming school system. We also have thousands of Chicago teachers who could use an additional source of income. But the Chicago Board of Education failed to use about $33 million of free federal money to help both the students and teachers.
Now the school board is in a hurry to spend (waste) the money before it goes away.
Who are the incompetents in charge of implementing the federal tutoring program and when will they be fired? No wonder Chicago’s schools are underperforming with people like this in charge.
