Dodgers activate Kemp, Ethier
The Los Angeles Dodgers returned 2/3 of their Opening Day lineup on Friday, activating Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier from the 15-day disabled list.
Kemp, 27, got off to a sizzling start, batting .359 with 12 home runs through May 13. He then spent 15 days on the disabled list with a strained hamstring, then re-injured himself in his second game back May 30.
Ethier, 29, had no issues with his oblique during a rehab assignment and returned from the disabled list on the first day he was eligible.
