The United Center continues to be the Land of Fantasy with DreamWorks’ “How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular” moving in, following Cirque du Soleil’s “Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour.” Flying dragons with 40-foot wingspans (some weighing up to 2.6 tons according to dreamworksdragonslive.com) and Vikings trying to slay them, will inhabit the home of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks in this production that brings the 2010 movie (an adaptation of Cressida Cowell’s book) to a live stage. The draw will be huge animatronic dragons spewing fire and flying across the arena, but Hiccup’s story of following his own ideas about dragons and enemies guides the show.

Why go: If you thought “Walking With Dinosaurs” had the awesomeness, this is for you.

Reconsider: There’s always a bigger and better Next thing.

Details: Thursday through July 29 at United Center, 1901 W. Madison St.; $31.50-$81.50; 800-745-3000, ticketmaster.com
