Sept 5 (Reuters) – Tesoro Petroleum Corp reported a

power outage at its 96,860 barrel-per-day Los Angeles-area

refinery in Wilmington, California, in a filing with state

pollution regulators.

“It is unknown what caused the power outage. The process

unit has been shut down and the plant is in the process of

stabilizing the unit,” the filing with the California Emergency

Management Agency said.

In a filing with the South Coast Air Quality Management

District, the company reported an unplanned flare event which

began at 09:15 pm (local time) on Sept. 4, and ended at 2:00 am

(local time) on Sept. 5.
