No injuries were reported when an extra-alarm fire broke out around midnight in a church in the East Garfield Park neighborhood.

About 100 firefighters responded to the 2-11 alarm fire at the True Temple of Apostolic Faith church at 3816 W. Madison St.

Crews extinguished the blaze at about 3 a.m., said Chief Joe Roccasalva, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman.

No one was injured in the fire. Officials continue to investigate its cause.
