May 31 (Reuters) – Sunoco Logistics Partners LP has

delayed the start-up of the Permian Express crude oil pipeline

until July, the company said in a notice to customers on Friday.

The shipping notice said that work by a third party at

Wichita Falls, Texas, where the line starts, had not been

completed by June “as previously communicated.”

“Based on this unfortunate news, we regretfully have to

reject all receipt nominations at Wichita Falls for the month of

June,” Sunoco Logistics Partners said in the shipping notice, a

copy of which was seen by Reuters.

“At this time we are anticipating these movements to begin

during the month of July.”

The first 90,000 barrels per day of the line were expected

to start in June, running from Wichita Falls to Nederland,

Texas, carrying crude from oil fields in the Permian Basin to

Gulf Coast refiners.
