It’s very sad when a big-city newspaper lays off their photographers and instead has reporters take photos with their iPhones. On the other hand, with the Sun-Times’ continuing slide in “real news” coverage, they would have done just as well to lay off the reporters and give the photographers a notepad and pencil.
