An elderly man who was reported missing from the South Side has been located, said police tonight.
Police were asking for the public’s help finding the man who suffers from dementia and went missing today from the city’s South Side.
Joel “Happy Joe” Spear, 78, went missing today from the 9700 block of South Wallace Street, said police.
He was last seen wearing a black hat with a brim, a 3/4 length black overcoat with a tan jacket underneath, brown pants and black shoes, said police.
Spear also was wearing a medical bracelet when he went missing.
Police described him as a black man with a dark complexion, with black and gray hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds.
