Sandwich King burger: If you didn’t get a chance to try Food Network star Jeff Mauro’s entry in the Hamburger Hop competition at this year’s Chicago Gourmet, you’re in luck. Gibsons Steakhouse has added the Sandwich King burger, winner of the contest’s People’s Choice award, to its lunch menu for the time being. The 10-ounce angus patty is topped with jalapeno havarti cheese, a mound of crispy cherry peppers and a glaze of “engine” sauce — essentially Mauro’s version of spicy mayo. Your server will warn you that it’s got a kick to it, but it’s a treat for those who like heat. $14. Lunch menu only; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 1028 N. Rush St.
