Nuggets C McGee out with shin injury
Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee is out indefinitely after X-rays revealed a stress fracture in his left shin, the team announced Sunday.
McGee is averaging 7.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.40 blocks in five starts this season.
Nuggets coach Brian Shaw said either J.J. Hickson or Timofey Mozgov will start in McGee’s place Monday at the Utah Jazz.
Also, forward Wilson Chandler will be a game-time decision with a hamstring strain. He practiced Sunday but has not appeared in a game this season.
