This photo taken on February 3, 2014, at the SPA (Society for the Protection of Animals) center in Marseille, shows a veterinarian taking care of the five month old cat named ‘Oscar’, who was injured after being thrown in the air by a young man repeatedly in an online video which went viral on the internet. Farid Ghilas, 24, the young Frenchman who sparked widespread outrage by posting videos of himself hurling a kitten through the air was sentenced to a year in prison on February 3, 2014 on charges of animal cruelty.
