Here’s a summary of the College Athletes Players Association’s 11 goals:

*Limit contact in practice and have an independent concussion expert on the sidelines during games.

*Give players a “cost of attendance” stipend, as NCAA officials have proposed but not passed.

*Force schools to pay sports-related medical expenses.

*Increase graduation rates by creating a fund that former student-athletes can access.

*A player kicked off the team but in good academic standing should be permitted to remain on a non-athletic scholarship.

*Prohibit universities from pulling the scholarship of a player who has suffered a permanent injury.

*Establish uniform safety guidelines.

*Allow players to benefit directly from endorsement opportunities.

*Do not punish student-athletes by taking away, for example, postseason opportunities because of the transgressions of boosters or coaches.

*Allow players to transfer, regardless of whether the university wishes to sign a release.

*Allow players to transfer one time without having to sit out a season.
