She’s back! the Circuit Court Clerk for Cook County, Dorothy Brown, is asking for a 66% percent increase in fees. Her reason? Technology! In an office which is plumb full of clout appointed jobs, dreadful customer service and, yes, technology from the ’50’s Ms. Brown has done virtually nothing to correct these issues. OH! She HAS demanded a “jeans tax” from staff members who want to wear jeans on casual Fridays. (The cash, of course, is unaccounted for). Add to this growing allegations that she has worked to have a questionable county land deal awarded to a business her husband runs and, well, you get the whole steamy pile that is the Office of the Circuit Court Clerk.
