“American Beauty” and “The Hunger Games” actor
will be showing off his dark side.
Bentley is joining “
‘s” next season “Freakshow,”
Variety
has confirmed. He will play Eddie, a tormentor from Kathy Bates’ character’s past who is seeking revenge, and appear in the Halloween two-part episode.
The newcomer to the
drama played Seneca Crane in “The Hunger Games.” He’s already worked with “American Horror Story” co-creator Ryan Murphy on the HBO pilot “Open.”
“American Horror Story” veterans Bates, Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy and Angela Bassett are returning to the ’50s-set new season, which centers on the last freak show in America. It’s also been announced that
Michael Chiklis is joining the cast
for “Freakshow,” playing Bates’ character’s ex-husband, currently married to Bassett’s character.
The Halloween episodes are tentatively scheduled to air Oct. 21 and 28.
