Are the Cubs THAT bad?
Rock star Jack White was photographed at Wrigley Field last night wearing a Cubs shirt and an expression of the utmost aggravation, his eyebrows raked downwards and his mouth set in a hard grimace. The shot ricocheted around the Internet, with Twitter commenters wondering what had the Memphis-based musician so peeved.
“Where’s Neal Young with that Nacho Helmet?” pondered @SennettReport.
“For the first time in my life, I’m rooting for #Cubs fans to start the wave just so we can get a photo of grumpy Jack White doing that,” wrote @mattlindner.
“The Jack White/Cubs photo sums up the baseball season for me,” concluded @IrrationalHawk.
White is in town for shows today and Thursday at the Chicago Theatre and the Auditorium Theatre.
By the way, the Cubs beat the San Diego Padres 6-0. Here’s hoping that made White a little bit happier.
