Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

— Top performers from Tuesday’s practice are: 1. Cortland Finnegan (3 INTs); 2. Brent Grimes (2 INTs); and 3. Marcus Thigpen (dangerous slot WR all day)

— Ryan Tannehill said the flurry of interceptions lately are caused by the team working in new route combos vs different coverages.

— “Myself, if I don’t feel good I’m not going to play. My goal is to be healthy for the season,” Mike Wallace on playing Friday.

— “I’m not about to run 20 deep balls back to back. That’s not healthy for me,” Mike Wallace said of deep ball chemistry.

— “He’s doing a good job getting better at it everyday and coach Lazor has been staying on him about that,” Wallace said of Tannehill deep ball.

— “Just be healthy for the season. That’s my main thing right now. Be healthy for the season,” Mike Wallace said.

— “He’s a smart guy and he takes chances….He jumps routes sometimes,” Mike Wallace said of Cortland Finnegan.

— Mike Wallace said one of Bill Lazor’s pet peeves is not paying attention in walk throughs.

— Mike Wallace said he still feels the hamstring injury. He’s working to get his burst back.

— “The thing you like about Brent from my seat is he comes out & practices hard every day. He likes to compete,” Philbin said of Grimes.

— Joe Philbin said the defenders are getting their hands on a lot of balls, and tipped are a good sign of progress.

— Joe Philbin said the coaching staff will use both photos & Ipads during the exhibition season. “We got to teach guys to draw on the tablet.”

— Joe Philbin said Cortland Finnegan simply needs to play consistently and execute is assignments to win the starting spot opposite Grimes.

— “There was too many interceptions, but I felt we responded well late in practice,” Philbin said.

“You’re happy when guys are making plays..just because it is a pick doesn’t mean it isn’t a competitive play,” Philbin said.

— Joe Philbin said the Dolphins have a full padded practice for tomorrow. That will be a good session for the fans.

— Philbin said the Dolphins will put together a generic game plan for the Falcons on Friday night.

— “The offense kind of moves you around so you’ll be in different spots. It is about route combinations,” Brandon Gibson said.

— “He’s a guy that knows route combinations, knows how to play the game. He gets his hand on a lot of balls,” Jimmy Wilson said of Finnegan.

— Practice over. Defense shined with 5 INTs. Tanehill rough day. OL nice protection, but still has ways to go.

— Damien Williams with a nice inside run on a draw play. Tannehill corralled a high snap to get the hand off clean.

— Nice 15-yard gain on a run after catch play from Tannehill to Jarvis Landry.

— This Seth Lobato strong arm thing is a myth. I’m watching him throw some ducks today.

— Ryan Tannehill overthrows Mike Wallace in final 11-on-11 phase. Ball was out of bounds too.

— Knowshon Moreno is doing his daily rehab work.

— Tannehill hit Rishard Matthews with a deep curl. Matthews is very dangerous on that route.

— Good linebacker blitz pickup from Damian Williams on a respectable downfield pass to Kevin Cone from Tannehill.

— I believe defense has 9 INTs last two days. Think it was 4 INTs yesterday and 5 INTs today.

— Marcus Thigpen with a great reception for nearly 30. I have no idea why people think he’s in trouble. He’s a playmaker!

— Not to beat up Tanehill, but again, he’s had good protection all day. Just bad passes last two days.

— Ryan Tannehill’s first throw of the final 11-on-11 session is picked off by Cortland Finnegan. That’s Finnegan’s third INT today.

— Brent Grimes with an interception of Tannehill during 7-on-7s.

— Just watched Samson Satele struggle vs Kamal Johnson during 1-on-1s. That’s not a good thing.

— If Samson Satele can’t block Kamal Johnson then he can’t block AJ Francis. Can’t block Francis then he has no chance vs Randy Starks.

— Mike Pouncey isn’t visible at practice today. I’m sensing a medical recheck with his doctors. Pouncey wants to be cleared to practice.

— Watching Caleb Sturgis kick and he looks fine. Might have lost some distance due to his groin injury.

— Team is practicing multiple hook-and-lateral plays.

— Why is Anthony Johnson being used as a DE? Branden Albert needs a challenge.

— Charles Clay continues to sit out practice with knee soreness and it is giving Dion Sims and Arthur Lynch a chance to showcase themselves.

— Jared Odrick forces Ryan Tannehill to throw the ball away by collapsing the pocket vs the 2nd team O-line.

— Ryan Tannehill with a 25 yard pass to Marcus Thigpen, who is a dangerous slot receiver.

— Second-team offense again led by QB Matt Moore…maybe he plays a lot Friday night in preseason opener at Atlanta.

— Billy Turner is athletically the best RG option. Problem is his technique is off.

— Anthony Johnson blows up a run in the backfield.

— Ryan Tannehill gained about 30 yards on a read option before any defender is even close to him. He’s athletic in this offense.

— Speaking of offensive diversity, keep an eye out for an unbalanced OL…seen that a couple of times in camp.

— Billy Turner is the backup RG. Looks like they won’t be moving him around. Obviously the goal is to have him contend for a starting spot.

— Shelley Smith is a lot better at run blocking than he is at pass blocking. He’s the 2nd team left guard.

— The only guy who ever moves Randy Starks out his spot is Daryn Colledge. Everyone else isn’t in his league.

— Samson Satele is the starting center and Dallas Thomas is the starting right guard today.

— Cortland Finnegan has 4 interceptions in five practices.

— With Daniel Thomas sidelined this is the time for Damien Williams and Mike Gillislee to make a push to secure their spot on the 53-man roster.

— Brian Hartline is practicing today. He’s had the last two sessions off.

— Matt Moore is taking 2nd team reps today but he’s turned into checkdown Chad. Shoulder soreness kind of limiting him it seems.

— Ryan Tannehill’s very first snap of practice turns into a Cortland Finnegan pick during 11-on-11. That’s now 4 INTs last 3 days.

— Nate Garner is practicing, but he has his left forearm in a brace.

— Dolphins injuries: TE Egnew (concussion), TE Hoskins (hamstring), RB Thomas (hamstring), DE Vernon (back).

— Charles Clay is sidelined with a sore knee, which explains Brett Brackett’s return.

— Samson Satele seemed winded yesterday, & his practice wasn’t sharp. But it was his first EVER session with this team.

— Dolphins cut injured receiver Stephen Williams and re-signed tight end Brett Brackett.
