A former Dominick’s distribution center along with the 55-acre business park it sits on in Northlake have been purchased by a Chicago-based development group.
Almost 300 distribution center workers lost their jobs last year when Dominick’s shuttered. The sale price was not disclosed.
Bridge Development Partners, LLC, said it plans to retain two buildings in the park — a 162,000-square-foot cooler facility and a 135,000-square-foot freezer building, which it plans to expand to 239,120 square feet. The buildings have 32-feet-tall ceilings and are immediately available for lease.
All other buildings will be demolished to make way for a new, nearly 590,000-square-foot distribution center.
The site at 555 Northwest Avenue in Northlake is being marketed as Bridge Point Northlake.
