The body of a man was pulled from a lagoon in Sherman Park on the South Side, police said.
At 1:25 p.m., officials were called to the park at 1301 W. 52nd St. in the Back of the Yards neighborhood after a person noticed a body in the water, said Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada.
Chicago Police Marine Unit officers were called to the area and they recovered the body of a man, Estrada said.
Police have launched a death investigation.
