Chicago Tribune employees give substantially of their time, talent and donations to help nonprofit organizations and schools throughout our community in the city and suburbs. Many employees take leadership roles on nonprofit boards and committees, such as the Illinois Fatherhood Initiative, the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the Northern Illinois Food Bank, Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education, Rock for Reading and many others.
TribUnity
As residents of Chicagoland, our employees see the importance of making our neighborhoods better by working side by side with community nonprofits or schools. TribUnity is Chicago Tribune’s volunteer group of employees who work together to generate enthusiasm among employee volunteers to help solve community problems. Find out more about TribUnity.
United Way
At the Tribune Company, United Way is an important part of our culture and commitment to ensuring the health and vitality of the communities in which we live and work. For almost 75 years, and nearly as long as United Way has been in Chicago, Tribune has been supporting United Way. In 2007, Chicago-area employees made individual pledges and volunteered to organize silent auctions and other events to raise $1,243,100 for the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago.
