IT’S OFFICIAL: METROMIX.COM ONE OF THE “EDGIE”-EST SITES ON THE WEB
CHICAGO, July 15, 2002 – Metromix.com was presented with a Digital Edge Award as Best Vertical Site (circulation more than 250,000) by the Newspaper Association of America’s New Media Federation during a ceremony held July 15.
“What makes Metromix unique is the quality and quirkiness of our information,” said Leigh Behrens, editor and product manager for Metromix. “We work hard to uncover the best entertainment options for our audience, and we’re proud to have our efforts recognized with this important award.”
Judges noted: “During the past year, Metromix solidified its reputation as the ultimate resource for Web users in search of dining, drinking, clubbing, and arts and entertainment options in greater Chicago.”
“Metromix has been a perennial winner with judges, but more importantly with consumers,” said Digby Solomon, general manager for Metromix, along with chicagotribune.com and ChicagoSports.com. “The site is a perfect example of truth in advertising-Metromix really is the premier online source for entertainment listings and information in Chicagoland.”
