Michael’s idea:
Monthly art events with themes, concepts and artwork selected by real Chicagoans. Exhibitions will be chosen through a Web application where users can submit their own ideas or upvote other users’ submissions.
>> As a grad student at School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Michael said he’s “noticed a disconnect between contemporary art and the public’s ability to relate to it.” But that being said, “the actual idea came from conversations with friends, probably after winning the gold trophy during a ‘Super Mario Kart’ session.”
>> And yes, he has a sense of humor about his name. “I’m Michael J. Fox, I predict the Cubs will win the World Series in 2015,” he said.
