Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I am thoroughly disgusted with both the major candidates for governor. They tell us very little about their plans to get this state back on sound footing again. All they do is trade insults with each other. So-called debates sound more like school-yard spats between two spoiled brats. My advice to both of them is to grow up.

I don’t think Pat Quinn is a bad person. However, I do not think he can ever be effective as governor. We all know who the boss of Illinois is, and it’s not Quinn.

I was enthused from the outset about Bruce Rauner, even though I had never heard of him. Here was a man with a track record of success in the business world. Perhaps he could extend that success as governor and solve the many problems that plague this state and its citizens. That is why I voted for him in the primary. After all, the other candidates were merely party loyalists.

Now what does Rauner do? He doesn’t offer up much in the way of solutions. All he does is talk about how bad Quinn is.

Is this all Rauner has to offer? If he has something worthwhile, it’s time he tell us about it.
