Well, Sunday was a big night for Peytons, no matter how you spell it.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning broke the all-time passing touchdown record formerly held by Brett Favre — with No. 509 to Demaryius Thomas — when the Broncos throttled the San Francisco 49ers in prime time.

And thanks to a mix-up at Seattle news station KOMO 4, NBA Hall of Fame inductee and former Seattle SuperSonics Gary Payton also got some love and credit for setting Manning’s record.

The station ran a picture of Gary Payton while talking about Manning’s huge accomplishment. The snafu didn’t go unnoticed by the NBA legend.

A request for comment from KOMO was not immediately returned.
