It was grievous to read recently that more than 30 majestic horses were killed in a terrible suburban stable fire. Horses have been precious and invaluable companion animals for centuries. Humans have a long-standing emotional bond with horses, ponies, dogs and cats. It’s always heartbreaking to learn about and accept their tragic and unexpected deaths that lamentably occur far too often.

The guardians and owners of the respective horses that perished warrant condolences and empathy.
