Apparently, the memory of NBC News anchor Brian Williams had been playing tricks on him.
That is until he just recently remembered that the helicopter he was traveling in while covering the invasion of Iraq in 2003 had not been under enemy fire. Amazingly, Williams’ super memory finally kicked in 12 years later.
Perhaps Williams is just one of those folks who likes to embellish to make himself feel, as well as, look more important. Nevertheless, it takes a bigger man to apologize, which Williams rightfully did. Bravo to Williams for fessing up.
