The name of a new bar in Elmwood Park reveals all you need to know about its size, but there’s more than enough to drink if you like beer.

The Tiny Tap, located at 7648 W. North Ave., is only about 1,000 square feet. The bar opened in January and may look small, but there are plenty of places to sit and more than 30 craft beers to choose from.

Anthony Adreani, co-owns the business with his brother, Dominick.

“It’s our second bar,” Anthony Adreani said. “We own the Berwyn Tap Room.”

Adreani said they wanted to open up a bar in Elmwood Park to bring a unique bar experience to the area.

“It has a nice speakeasy-type look to it, and there’s always a good spot to watch the game,” he said.

There are six flat-screen TVs set up in the bar.

He believes the long list of craft beer they serve will be a big draw, but they have other options as well.

“We carry a lot of high-end bourbon and scotch because they go hand-in-hand with the beer,” he said.

What also makes the bar special is that it shares a wall with Armand’s Restaurant, 7650 W. North Ave., which is run by Dominick Adreani. Once the Tiny Tap was set up, a door was built providing access between the restaurant and bar.

“So far, so good,” Dominick Adreani said. “I think it’s good for this neighborhood.”

Anthony Adreani said both brothers look at it as a win-win situation. Bar customers can order food from the restaurant and it will be brought to them from the restaurant.

“We bring them a lot of customers and they bring us a lot of customers, so it works out well,” he said. “Our goal is to have a neighborhood place where you can enjoy Armand’s pizza and have a craft beer at a reasonable price

Tiny Tap is open from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Friday, and 12 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Saturday.
