WHO WANTS THIS REAL LIVE NOBLEMAN?

Girls Here’s Your Chance — Get Busy on This and Win a Real European Title

WANTS AMERICAN WIFE

Giancomo de Muro Asks This Paper to Get Him Better-Half — Will Trade Title for Dowry

I got your address from an American institute here and I apply to your kind office for a very important and delicate matter.

I belong to an historical and highly noble family of royal origin, which has always been among the most powerful and illustrious of Italy and I possess moreover, many precious titles of gentry, as Prince, Duke Marquis etc.

Knowing, as also many instances thereof may be cited, that rich American young ladies re very disposed to marry Europeans even without any fortune, but having yet titles of nobility, I desire you to procure, if possible, my marriage with such a one. Naturally, after conclusion, your work shall be very generously compensated, proportionally to the dowry, at least by several hundred dollars. In case you could not occupy yourself of the thin, please propose it to one or several notaries or other competent persons or possibly to special agencies and immediately after having obtained the results you will be equally entitled to a good reward.

This family counts more than fifteen centuries of existence and at least three royal crowns: this is of Norway, Danemark and Normandy. Ten centuries ago a member of that family settled in Italy where he and his descendants, by their royal origin, as well as by their large riches, became very powerful. Some fifteen of them were vice reys of Jerusalem, Ciprus, etc.

Who marries me will therefore assume the title which likes the best from Princess to Baroness.

I am 25 years old, rather tall and well proportioned, absolutely serious and sincere and what imports the most wholly free from any vice.

Concerning my pretentions, I wish a rich dowry, for it is necessary in order that the lady may bear and expose worthily the title she will receive. …

Crown Point’s purposed zoning ordinance was signed, sealed and delivered to the members of the city council at Monday night’s regular meeting in the city hall. The ordinance had been previously approved and recommended for passage by the planing board whose members realized that some of the sections of the draft might be changed or amended before the ordinance is finally passed by the city council.

Presentation of the ordinance and accompanying plat showing the several zones, as prepared by Engineer H.B. Steeg of Indianapolis, was made by the planning board’s president, George O. Compton. Steeg and Compton explained in detail the purposes of the ordinance and advised the council members to make a thorough study of it between now and the next regular meeting in April. President Compton also suggested that a public meeting be held before the April meeting of the council, in order that all citizens of the city may acquaint themselves with the ordinance and its requirements before any action is taken by the city council, whose members have complete authority to pass or reject it.

Acting on the request of a large number of property holders on South Main street who had filed objections, permission to reopen a milk depot in that neighborhood was refused by the council.

Mayor Youkey, who has been confined to his home for the past two weeks with an infected eye, was able to attend the council session.

City councilmen, at the monthly meeting Monday night in city hall, approved the agreement for purchase of property from the William Hofferbers. …

City attorney William F. Carroll reported approval by the board of works for purchase of a 30-foot strip of property from East to Main streets from the Hofferbers for $7,000. This strip, together with an adjoining strip dedicated by the subdivider, will provide a 60-foot right-of-way for extension of Greenwood Avenue between Main and East streets.

More than 30,000 notices to voters of suspension of registration will be in the mail this week, Anthony Dobis and Robert Rooda, registration board members said Wednesday. Basis of the suspensions is failure to vote in both the primary and general elections last year. Notice is in the form of a double post card informing the voter that unless the attached application for reinstatement of registration is filled out and returned within 30 days the voter’s name will be removed from the registration record.
