Well, at least someone around here is questioning himself.

Hats off to George McCaskey, who came clean and was honest with the media.

Good for him, I say. But we’re second-guessing the wrong problem.

You see, the Bears suffer from what I call “empty cupboard syndrome,” or ECS as it’s known in the medical community.

It goes like this. Team looks around. Team discovers, uh-oh, it has no real talent at many positions.

Team then decides it can overlook many “deficiencies” in character and lapses in judgment to bring some talent on board.

So while we’re all second-guessing, let’s second-guess the Bears organization for having no one to really rush the passer, which is what Ray McDonald would have done.

And I mean no one. So thanks, Phil Emery, for that wonderful pick of Shea McClellin. Thanks to those moves, the Bears had to take a shot at McDonald.

And just know that as long as there’s no talent, guys like Ray McDonald will always be there for the taking.

For the record, though, if I need a job, I’m going right to George McCaskey. I mean, come on. The guy had a face-to-face meeting with McDonald and was duped!

That means, for me, anything is possible. If I could just get in front of him, I think I could talk myself into the GM position. Seriously.

The Blackhawks should also be second-guessing themselves. Someone needs to go “Man, next time, let’s pay up for some defense!”

Good call. Also, I second-guess the “Let’s let Anaheim get up by three and then go crazy” strategy. That almost never works. Quit trying it.

And finally, let’s all second-guess the White Sox.

Robin Ventura, I’m afraid it’s time to go.

“No, wait! You can’t have change for change’s sake!” you say.

“Don’t worry, we’re doing it for sanity’s sake” would be my response. That’s because something big is missing.

Some call it chemistry. I call it a pulse.

Adam Eaton isn’t producing, and Adam LaRoche merely took Adam Dunn’s place as strikeout leader.

Um, 1-Adam 12, come in please, the White Sox are hideous.
