WBBM-Ch. 2 principal sports anchor Ryan Baker has sold his three-bedroom, 2,800-square-foot town home in the West Loop for $842,500.

Baker, 45, CBS 2’s lead weekday sports anchor, joined the station in 2008 after previously working on the air at WMAQ-Ch. 5.

Baker had owned the West Loop town home since buying it for $675,000 in 2005 from former Channel 5 reporter Jennifer Mitchell and her husband. Baker briefly had the town home on the market in the fall of 2013 for $775,000 before taking it off the market.

“I’d been in West Loop for 10 years. It was nice to see the market come back, and obviously, that’s a pretty hot area right now. Real estate-wise, seemed like it was a good time to get a return on the investment and definitely coincided with a desire to expand our space. I went to the West Loop 10 years ago as a single guy, and it was the ultimate bachelor pad,” Baker told Elite Street.

Baker, who is married now with a 15-month-old daughter, has moved to Glenview.

He sold the town home without it being on the market. As a result, no details about the home’s features were placed in the real estate multiple-listing service.
